AND IN THE PRESENT... A time of peace and tranquility has passed since Eggman's defeat. There is no sign of him, and Metropolis remains abandoned and lifeless. In the absence of the chaos and discord he has brought in the past, the world has grown beautiful and prosperous. Sonic and his friends have taken a break from being heroes, and gone separate ways to explore and relax. Sonic has spent almost a year exploring the most remote corners of the world, while Tails and Knuckles have spent time exploring and mapping the Mystic Ruins. Life is tranquil... Until one day, during his travels, Sonic is contacted by Tails on an emergency band. Tails informs him that trouble has emerged in Central City, and Knuckles needs help – and thus begins the next great adventure in the saga of Sonic.

Epic Storyline: Sonic and friends must use teamwork and strategy to uncover and defeat the mysterious menace that is destroying their world piece by piece. New characters also add to the excitement!

Chao Overview:Chaos can help boost player characters in many different ways. You will find common, rare and unique types of Chao throughout the game - collect them all to get a complete set! As you find new ones, place them in the Chao Garden to help you keep track of them all. You can also trade your Chao with friends via Wi-Fi. As you your Chao collection grows, you can then level up your Chao or even create more Chao! Common Chao are found throughout Sonic’s world and give the owner special bonuses. Rare Chao are more difficult to find and give more powerful bonuses than common Chao. Unique Chao grant legendary magical abilities to those few who are lucky enough to find them.
